Nakhonphanom, Thailand , 1985
A relative newcomer to the art world, Bussaraporn’s oeuvre explores her own identity and issues around love, desire and passion. She questions the gulf between traditional ideas of what constitutes feminine behaviour and the need to satisify one’s own passions. With crayon and paper, twisting lines and dramatic colours, the artist produces expressive works that convey the experience of suffering.
